Milan Fashion Week 2014- summary (Meissen Couture, Vogue Italia, La Perla, Giambattista Valli)

When a year ago (22.03.13 to be more precise ;) btw I still remember that day as if it was yesterday!) I got to know that I'm going to Milano, I got so excited that somehow I was focusing all my attention on everything related to Milan. That's why I fell in love with Fashion TV :)
I was wondering... How is it like to be in Milano during the fashion events? What is the feel to be a part of it?
I can tell you with the happiness that... now I know :)

After Grazia International Cocktail Party, I took part in a bunch of fashion events. And I loved it! :D
OK, OK, let's get started...

One of my favourite ones was an event hosted by Meissen Couture and Vogue Italia. The Meissen Couture Fall/Winter 2014/2015 Collection was presented in the famous Villa Meissen in Via Montenapoleone 3. Frida Weyer, the head designer created a sparkling collection, inspired by the 1920s to late 1930s, when life was celebrated above all else. It is to be said that the creations were über-femine and flowing. The color palette was minimalist, with beiges, subtle blush tones and champagne shades taking the major part of it. But don't get the wrong impression. It wasn't monotonous at all! Blackberry and alluring black were a lively accent to the collection. There was also a huge variety of the materials. Chiffon, crêpe and organza among them...

The hairstyles with side-parting and a glossy finish inspired by Hollywood divas were a bullseye, emphasising the sophisticated look of the georgeous models.

Exposed shoulders as the metaphor of the strength of woman- a leader and seducer

Thare's also meee ;)

It was a really fun experience :))

The jewellery launched by Meissen Couture is a symbol of a superior quality which characterises the 300 year old heritage of the art and luxury handcraft house; an interpretation of history and culture.

Later that day I also went for the re-opening of the flagship boutique of La Perla in Via Montenapoleone, but due to the fact that I spent most of time at the Meissen Couture event, I didn't have much time to enjoy it. Among the guests there was Maricarla Boscono, who is one of the faces of the f/w 2014 campaigne, and also a fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni (the Blonde Salad).
The new boutique was designed by famous architect, Roberto Baciocchi!
Here's a quick overview:

Talking about the Fashion Week I cannot omit the opening of the first boutique of Italian designer, Giambattista Valli in the Quadrilatero della Moda, considered by many experts (Vogue among them) as one of the most important fashion districts in the world. The author of the design concept for the store was Luigi Scialanga, the architect of the two Parisian boutiques of Giambattista Valli.

The boutique allows the clients to order custom-made Giambattista Valli bags as well as the shoes!

I'm really thankful that I could take part in these events and I can't wait for the next ones :))

All the best! xx
